Nayeli? It’s American Indian for “I Love You” How cool is that? I’m not sure how it would be pronounced though. I’m thinking probably Ny-ell-ee? Like how Maya is pronounced with a My sound. Nickname could be Elli. I always love a good nickname So, how do you feel about it?

This is a phrase used by an indigenous people of what is now basically the Oaxaca state of Mexico in the Zapotec language. When I heard it said, it sounded harsh; and the syllables did not flow together like a name as it is three separate words. There are only about half a million people who even speak this language.
